Jody Miles
A.C.M.A. C.G.M.A. BSc (Econ)
Jody runs Kara day to day alongside the team. He looks after clients’ accounts, tax and Xero setups, and is always looking for ways to make the boring bits of running a business simpler.
Away from the office, Jody helps run UK offshore powerboat racing. The rest of his time goes on family life with his fiancée, five kids and the dog, which keeps him busier than any tax deadline.
Nick Miles

Nick founded Kara in 1997 as a sole practitioner, after qualifying as a CIMA Chartered Management Accountant, and built it up on recommendations from local business owners.
He’s now semi-retired and has recently moved to Devon, but he’s still a part-owner of the firm and very much involved behind the scenes – nearly 30 years of experience is never far away.
Lynne Baker
Lynne keeps the whole practice running smoothly – diaries, deadlines, paperwork and the team.
If you call or email the office, Lynne is very often the friendly voice who makes sure your query gets to the right person and doesn’t get forgotten.
Hollie Jones
Hollie joined the team in 2013 and looks after clients’ bookkeeping, accounts and VAT.
She’s a big part of helping businesses move onto Xero and keep their records in good shape all year round.
Tina Green
M.A.A.T.
Tina has years of experience looking after clients’ books and runs our payroll service.
She makes sure staff are paid correctly and on time, and that pensions and HMRC submissions are all in order.
