Whether you’re approaching the VAT threshold or have been registered for years, we’ll make sure your VAT is right, on time and as simple as possible.
Do you need to register?
You must register for VAT if your taxable turnover goes over £90,000 in any rolling 12-month period, or you expect it to in the next 30 days. Some businesses register voluntarily below that – we’ll help you work out whether it makes sense for you.
Making Tax Digital for VAT
All VAT-registered businesses must keep digital records and file their returns through HMRC-recognised software. Most returns are quarterly, due one month and seven days after the end of each quarter.
How we help
– VAT registration and choosing the right scheme – standard, Flat Rate or Cash Accounting
– Preparing and filing your VAT returns through Xero
– Checking your figures before they go, if you’d rather do your own
– Help with tricky areas such as the construction reverse charge, overseas sales and partial exemption
– Dealing with HMRC on your behalf if they have questions
