Jody Miles A.C.M.A. C.G.M.A. Bsc.Econ.
Jody is now Director of Kara Accountants, having taken the reins from his father at the start of 2017.
Born in 1983 and educated at Hardley, going on to Aberystwyth University and obtaining a degree in Business and Management, Jody joined the family business in 2006 and completed his C.I.M.A. qualification in 2011.
He is always continuing to develop his experience of the accounting world gaining further practical experience in other areas of accounting, such as tax and business advice.
Out of the office, Jody is a voluntary member of the R.N.L.I. Calshot Lifeboat crew. and can often be found out on the water!
Nick Miles A.C.M.A. C.G.M.A.
The founder of Kara Accountants, Nick started as a sole trader in Southampton after qualifying as a C.I.M.A. accountant in 1997.
Built up by recommendation and by providing a wide range of accounting services that focused on the small business owner, Nick has successfully built Kara Accountants to the successful business it is today.
After many great years dedicated to Kara and with it being a family business, Nick has now passed the Director reins to his son Jody and will be enjoying a more relaxed working life in Greece from March 2018! Nick will be very much part of the Kara brand and can still be reached at his new abode from where no doubt he will still claim to be top fee earner!
Lynne Baker
As our Office and Admin Manager at Kara Accountants, Lynne is an organisational wizard and she is a vital part of making the practice a success.
An ability to keep everything in order and implement the procedures is needed to maintain the efficient running of the office and combines to make hers a critical role, which she fulfils successfully!
Lynne is great at keeping our staff in order!
Hollie Jones M.A.A.T
Hollie joined us in late 2013 as part of an acquisition of a small neighbouring practice. She is now a fully qualified AAT accountant, having spent the last few years in a dual role as full-time accountant and full-time mother to 3 children.
She has many years practical experience to bring to the practice and is very knowledgeable in most areas of accounting. She provides great support to the book-keeping department and the accounting function in general.
Hollie brings a youthful exuberance to the team!
Sandra Cook M.A.A.T
Sandra is the newest member of Kara Accountants – having started in September 2017 she brings a wealth of experience to the team.
Her current role is part of the bookkeeping team but she is already beginning to work towards the CIMA qualification and is also a bit of a Xero expert!
Outside of office hours, Sandra is a part-time Accounting teacher within a local college and enjoys spending quality time with her family.
Tina Green M.A.A.T.
Tina is one of our team of qualified book-keepers at Kara Accountants, having many years of experience in dealing with client’s books.
She is also now responsible for client payrolls and the associated add-ons.
Tina is the life and soul of the office. When she is not at work she will most likely be found spending time with her family and spoiling her grandchildren.
